<\/span><\/div><\/div>On April 13, 2022, THE CLIMAKERS community from Latin America and the Caribbean<\/strong>, farmers and other stakeholders of the agricultural sector, convened digitally for a forward-looking discussion on how to strengthen the capacity of farmers and farmers\u2019 organisations to advocate for successful, replicable and scalable farming practices in the development by governments of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in the implementation of the Paris Agreement.<\/p>\nJointly organised by the\u00a0World Farmers\u2019 Organisation (WFO<\/strong>)<\/a> and PROCASUR<\/a><\/strong>, under THE CLIMAKERS<\/strong> initiative, the one-day digital event \u201cStrengthening Farmers Advocacy in Shaping NDCs: Farmers to Farmers Knowledge Exchange\u2033 offered an excellent venue for farmers from the LAC Region to know more about the NDCs guidelines:\u00a0\u201cTHE CLIMAKERS Guidelines for Policy Makers\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0developed and assessed by\u00a0CIAT\/CGIAR<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and presented globally at\u00a0COP26.<\/p>\nIt also offered an excellent venue to discuss the best practices farmers from the LAC Region are implementing to cope with the devasting effects of climate change.<\/p>\n
