Rome, Italy, November 15, 2021 – The Climakers Alliance is proud to announce its support for “The Transforming Agricultural Innovation for People, Nature and Climate” campaign, aka ClimateShot.

Launched at UN COP 26 Climate Change Summit in Glasgow, ClimateShot is co-chaired by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).

The initiative brings together governments, research organisations, financial institutions, businesses, civil society and farmer organisations who support the new Global Action Agenda on Agricultural Innovation.

Farmers own an essential part of the solution to Climate Change.
That’s why, since 2018, we have been collecting their Stories from the Field: to highlight their efforts in providing a sustainable future for people and the planet and to push the sharing of knowledge and experiences between farmers and all food producers from all corners of the world.

To successfully accomplish the significant role they are called to play to progress the Global Political Agenda on Climate, farmers need to be supported with the appropriate means and tools.
Investment in innovation is indispensable to drive the transition to more climate-resilient, inclusive, equitable and sustainable Food Systems. Innovation involves not only technology and digital transformation but also economic and social models.

With this in mind, we, The Climakers, joined the ClimateShot initiative and stand ready to work towards a Food Systems transformation that accelerates the fight against Climate Change, giving voice to the farmers who have a crucial role in driving this change, based on their practical experience in the field.
